Eleven California counties - mostly inland - made the top 20 economically stressed counties, according to the Associated Press.
The least stressed - the middle of the country. Take a look at that map again that I posted a couple of posts ago.
The AP also reports that the stimulus funds didn't make a dent in unemployment - it could have saved jobs, though.
President Obama is said to be focusing efforts on job creation with more stimulus plans.
